Full-stack Web Developer (Part time)

Our mission is to bring modern technology to a decades-old healthcare industry that is still lacking a unified global marketplace on which to comparison shop and purchase medical devices and supplies for home use. Current solutions are very outdated and price and review data is extremely fragmented and unstandardized. We are working on gathering, organizing, and utilizing that data to bring transparency and a seamless user experience to revolutionize the home medical devices and supplies industry.We are a team of marketers, operators and technologists with deep healthcare domain expertise. We have raised a large seed round backed by top-tier San Francisco VC's.

What you'll do

As a full-stack engineer, you will be designing and developing systems that touch all parts of our stack. You will be building both customer-facing and internal products. * Work on helping us select a technology stack for our eCommerce application. You will have a say in which framework and stack we end up choosing.* Take full ownership and responsibility for building, shipping, and maintaining the v1.0 of our modern e-commerce store + core features, end to end.* Deploy features, site improvements, and bug fixes sometimes multiple times a day. We release frequently and features are constantly in development.* Partner closely with the product, marketing & design teams to work on improving the user experience and funnel metrics.

 

Requirements* You’re a software engineering generalist who cares deeply about user-centric product development.

• Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience in engineering.

• BS in Computer Science or a related field* Expert knowledge of Javascript, preferably with experience with software in our stack

• Understanding of modern front-end driven architecture, PWA, Jamstack methodology.* You have deep knowledge of web technologies and large-scale web application architecture.* You make solid technical judgments and back them up articulately* You are flexible and are able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment with frequent context switching* You have strong communication skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional team

Bonus

• Early-stage startup experience, either as an employee or founder.

• Experience with front-end design, UI/UX programs

• Experience with scaling an eCommerce application to the thousands or millions of transactions.
