How do I get started using Better Health?
If you’re new to Better Health, we’ll ask you to complete a brief 3-stage process. This will help us get to you and your needs and will help us serve you better. Don’t worry, you’ll only have to do this once.
  1. Demographics: The first phase is demographics, where we get to know you a little better. We’ll ask you for information such as your full name, date of birth, state of residence, address, as well as medical release information should you want someone else to be able to correspond with us on your behalf.
  2. Insurance: The second stage is gathering your insurance information. We’ll need information about your doctor, as well as your primary insurance provider (and any secondary insurance, should you have any).
  3. Product needs: Lastly, we’ll ask you to select the product categories you’re interested in, such as catheters, ostomy, or diabetes. If you already know which specific brand or product you want, we’ll set you up with it. If you’re still looking for the right product for you, we’ll make recommendations and help you order samples to try out at home.
Where do you ship to?
Currently, we ship to residential addresses or PO boxes in most U.S. states except Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee (coming soon!)
Do you require a prescription to buy catheters?
Yes. But if you don’t have a prescription, don’t worry! We’ll personally work with your doctor to get the proper documentation on file so we can get you the supplies you need. If you don’t already have a prescription, please be sure to give us your doctor’s name and contact information.
I’m not sure which catheter is best for me. Can you help?

We can send you free samples so you can try and compare different products at home.

By ordering through Better Health, you’ll get your products shipped directly to your door — for free! If you’d still like to find your nearest store, use our store finder to find medical supplies near you.
What products and services do you provide?
Better Health aims to make the process of finding and ordering medical supplies as easy and transparent as possible. Currently, we’re able to serve those looking for diabetes supplies, ostomy supplies, intermittent catheters, external catheters, and incontinence products. We’re constantly working to expand our offerings — if you need a product that you don’t see on our site, please give us a call! We’ll do our best to get you the help you need. Along with our products, we’re also happy to offer personalized consultations with our product specialists and be a point of contact with your doctor and insurance providers.
How can I get free catheter samples?
We offer free catheter samples to our new members. When you become a Better Health member, we’ll work with you to recommend the best products for your needs and send you free samples to try out at home.
How will I receive my supplies? How long after I order will I get my supplies?
We’ll deliver your supplies to the address provided in a discreet package. We work with several warehouses across the U.S. to ensure the fastest delivery possible. On average, you can expect to receive your supplies in 1-3 business days (not including Sundays, or public holidays) after you place your order. In the rare instance that any complications arise that might delay your order, we’ll provide you with regular updates.
How does reordering work?
We know you have better things to do than worry about your medical supplies. That’s why we offer a “set it and forget it” subscription model. Once you place an order, we’ll ship your products to you every month (don’t worry, we’ll always check in with you before we ship in case you’d like to edit your order). If you’d like to receive your supplies more or less frequently, we’ll happily customize your delivery schedule. You can always modify your shipments at any time.
How much does delivery cost?
We always offer free home delivery. We ship your supplies via priority shipping, which means you should receive your shipment within 1-3 business days.
Can I change the number of supplies I receive every month?
You can customize your shipment as many times as you want A few things to note:
  1. It is possible to order fewer products than your prescription states. Eg. if you have a prescription for 100 products per month, you can change your order to receive only 50 products per month. If you need more products than your prescription states (i.e. you have a prescription for 20 products but you want 40), you’ll need to get a new prescription from your doctor. We’re happy to speak to your doctor and help you get a new prescription — just give us a call!
  2. Should your order exceed your insurance coverage, you’ll be required to pay the remainder out of pocket. We’ll confirm pricing with you should this come up.
How much will my catheter supplies cost?
Costs vary depending on what insurance plan you’re on, your insurance coverage, your deductible, and the number of products you need. Please get in touch with us so we can learn more about your specific insurance plan and give you a personalized cost estimate.
What types of catheters are covered by insurance?
This will vary depending on the type of insurance you have. Generally speaking, Medicare beneficiaries are allowed up to 200 intermittent catheters and/or 35 external catheters with 2 day or night bags per month. That being said, exceptions can be made depending on your needs and/or your doctor’s recommendations. Please give us a call so we can provide you with more accurate information.
How many catheters will my insurance cover?
Coverage varies depending on your insurance. That being said, most insurances follow Medicare guidelines which allow for up to 200 intermittent catheters per month and/or 35 external catheters with 2 night bags per month. If you’d like more specifics as to what your specific insurance will cover, please give us a call.
Are intermittent catheters covered by Medicare?
Yes! Intermittent catheters are covered by Medicare when proven medically necessary and when the appropriate documentation is in order (such as a prescription and applicable medical records). Medicare typically covers 80% of the cost of catheters once you have met your deductible.
I’ve been told by other companies that I need to pay upfront before I can get my supplies. Is this how you work?
That is not how Better Health works. Before placing your order, we’ll do our best to give you the most accurate price estimate possible. Once you decide to place your order, your insurance will process your claim. You’ll only be billed after your claim is processed.
Why are prices for some products not listed online?
Pricing per product varies depending on what insurance plan you’re on, your insurance coverage, your deductible, and the number of products you need. While we don’t list prices online, if you’re interested in learning more about specific products, give us a call. We’ll provide you with personalized cost estimates and can help you order custom supplies to try at home.
